Pasta aglio e olio (with garlic and oil) 1lb pasta of choice 9 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced 2/3 cup olive oil abt. 1/8 cup dried parsley, or 1/4 cup chopped/fresh red pepper flakes salt pepper Cook the pasta. When the pasta goes into the water, put the garlic slices into the olive oil in a cold skillet. Heat on medium until the oil is bubbling, then reduce to low/medium-low, and continue cooking and stirring until the garlic is golden brown. When the pasta is done (it will probably be done before the garlic), drain it, put it in a serving bowl, and set it aside. When the garlic is done, pour the oil and garlic over the pasta, add the parsley and the red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste, toss to combine, and serve.
