270g flour (about 2.25 cups) 2tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup eggnog 3 tbsp bourbon 1 tsp vanilla 1 stick butter, softened/melted 1 cup sugar Whisk the first group of ingredients together until well combined. Whisk the second group of ingredients together until well combined, custardy in consistency, and full of lots of little air bubbles. Pour the dry ingredients into the liquid and fold until combined. For a more cake-like consistency, use slightly expired baking powder (or a little less). Bake at 350F for 50 minutes, then check it. When the top is nicely browned and a fork stuck into the bread comes out clean, it's ready. If it isn't done, wait five minutes and try again.
