Commentary, Nathaniel Cannon and the Lost City of Pitu No. 5

Between Copeland, Choufeng, Iseabail, and Emma, I’ve at least mentioned all of the major characters who belong to the zeppelin. Lachapelle counts as a major recurring character who’s quite unexpectedly become one of my favorites in this universe, and in one of the next few entries I’ll be introducing a recurring villain. You’ll know who he is when you hear his name.

During a conversation with my collaborator, we concluded that I can’t expect to be able to fit this much exposition into every story in this universe if I want to fit a plot in, too. On the archives page, I’ll probably recommend Lost City of Pitu as an introductory read, and I’ll try to write the rest in a way that doesn’t set up dependencies.

We also decided that, when I write the fight scene that’s coming up, I’m going to have to put on Benny Goodman’s version of Sing, Sing, Sing, which is pretty much perfect wild barfight music.

Finally, we decided that the Secret Order of the Knights of Saint Adrian of Nicomedia are a thing. They’re not expected to show up in any stories we have concrete plans for, but I’m sure they’ll turn up eventually.
